Falcons' Kevin Stefanski Lands Mid-Pack at No. 20 in Fan Survey of NFL's Most Attractive Coaches

A survey of more than 5,000 fans ranked Atlanta's head coach 20th among the league's 32 coaches, while the Rams' Sean McVay claimed the top spot.

NFL head coaches are usually judged on wins, playoff runs, offensive schemes and job security. A new fan survey ahead of the 2026 season used a less scientific yardstick: looks.

The poll, conducted by Covers, asked 5,022 NFL fans to name the league's most attractive head coach. Atlanta Falcons coach Kevin Stefanski finished No. 20 of 32 with 1.67% of the vote. Baltimore Ravens coach Jesse Minter drew the same percentage and ranked directly behind him.

There was little drama at the top. Los Angeles Rams coach Sean McVay took 15.93% of the vote, nearly twice the 8.28% earned by Green Bay Packers coach Matt LaFleur in second place. Seattle's Mike Macdonald placed third at 6.49%, Philadelphia's Nick Sirianni was fourth at 5.85%, and Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid rounded out the top five with 5.81%.

McVay's support extended well beyond his own team's followers. According to the survey analysis, 95% of his nearly 800 votes came from people who are not Rams fans, including supporters of NFC West rivals such as the Seahawks and 49ers.

Covers questioned whether looks were the only factor at play. Several of the top-ranked coaches are tied to successful franchises, prominent quarterbacks and frequent national television appearances. The report suggested this could produce a "halo effect," in which winning and the confidence that comes with it shape how fans see a coach. Exposure may matter as well, since coaches whose teams regularly play in prime time and on national broadcasts are seen by more viewers than those who mostly appear in regional windows.

Hometown loyalty also showed up in the numbers. Nearly 3 in 10 respondents, or 29.3%, picked their own team's head coach as the most attractive. Packers fans were the most loyal, with 54.4% choosing LaFleur. Seattle fans followed at 53.7%, and 48.6% of Chicago Bears fans selected their own coach, Ben Johnson. Atlanta was not among the 10 fan bases most likely to back their own coach.

At the bottom of the rankings was New York Jets coach Aaron Glenn, who received 0.60% of the overall vote to place 32nd. Tampa Bay's Todd Bowles was 31st with 0.68%, followed by Las Vegas coach Klint Kubiak and Cleveland's Todd Monken. Only 11.6% of Jets fans surveyed chose Glenn, though he did pick up one vote from a New England Patriots fan.

For Stefanski, the 20th-place showing is a middle-of-the-pack result. The Falcons' preseason is still under way, leaving time before the regular season for his standing, in the poll or otherwise, to change.
